“Digital department store” Freemans, has revealed that its sales over the Christmas period were up 23%.
The figures, released today, cover the 8 weeks to 31st December.
The Bradford firm has also revealed that its customer numbers have exceeded 1m, that’s a 65% increase from 2 years ago, when it started its transformation from a catalogue retailer into a pureplay digital operation.
“We are delighted with our performance in the run up to an including Christmas. Not only have we delivered healthy sales numbers, but the transformation of the business continues at pace in our ambition to be the digital department store of choice,” said CEO, Ann Steer.

The company is focusing on value and its exclusive Bon Prix fashion range dominated its top 50 bestsellers. Freemans has also launched its Ways to Save offers.
