Deliveroo is opening its largest office outside of London to focus on small and medium businesses.
The new space in Manchester’s Piccadilly Gardens will be home to 180 staff, with the online delivery firm tripling its headcount in the city over the last 12 months.
It stated that Manchester would act as a national hub for its small and medium businesses team, which are focused on supporting small and independent restaurant partners.
“We are really proud to open a new flagship office in Manchester, a key market for Deliveroo with our amazing restaurant and grocery partners, delivery-only Editions and Deliveroo Hop service all available to consumers,” said Carlo Mocci, Deliveroo’s Chief Business Officer UK&I.
“The new office will allow us to invest in support for our small and independent restaurant partners both in Manchester and across the whole of the UK and Ireland, helping them to grow their businesses and reach new consumers.”
Deliveroo is headquartered in London and operates in nearly 800 location across 11 markets.
