Raheem Sterling has confirmed that his new sponsors are New Balance, with an advert scheduled to air in North America this weekend.

The sports brand and Manchester City player worked with Manchester’s Ear to the Ground on the “Done Just Talking” campaign.

“Sterling is like no other footballer. We’re all familiar with his journey; from being a talented kid living in the glare of the spotlight to becoming a role model that we want our kids to follow,” said Richard Adelsberg, MD of Ear to the Ground.

“‘Done Just Talking’ epitomises his desire to help those who don’t get a fair opportunity growing up. New Balance have committed to back him and his beliefs, sending a strong message that’ll resonate with fans everywhere, whatever team they support.”

As part of the deal, Sterling will become the global face of the New Balance brand.

“Raheem Sterling is recognised across the world as a leader both on and off the pitch and this is the start of a truly special partnership,” added Nicola Jones, Global Senior Marketing Manager for Football at New Balance.

“‘Done Just Talking’ is about showing our shared ambition and passion for taking actions to drive a real difference in football and beyond and it sets our intentions for what we will drive to achieve together. We’re very excited to kick this partnership off in such a unique way.”

Partnering with mentoring charity, ReachOut, Ear to the Ground and New Balance invited a group of 15-19 year old aspiring creatives to experience life on set, playing a pivotal part in Raheem’s shoot and developing disciplines such as directing, photography, editing, and styling, while gaining longer-term access to mentorship and potential further work.
