The University of Manchester has appointed e3creative to create a “prominent online presence” for a research project into a pioneering cancer treatment.

The H2020 INSPIRE Project, led by the University of Manchester, is co-ordinating proton beam therapy (PBT) research across Europe.

PBT is a new type of advanced radiotherapy most often used in the treatment of cancer and the UK’s first NHS high energy proton beam therapy centre is due to open at The Christie hospital in the autumn. e3creative has been brought on board to introduce a prominent online presence, including website design, development and strategy.

Managing Director Jake Welsh said: “The innovation stemming out of the INSPIRE project is astounding and the teams at e3creative feel privileged to leverage their expertise to further the initiative.

“The multilingual web platform will act as a key resource for the project to achieve their objectives by aligning research knowledge and resources and communicating with academia, industry, hospitals, policy makers, patients and carers across several European territories.”

Professor Karen Kirkby, co-ordinator of INSPIRE, added: “Through INSPIRE there is an opportunity for Europe to establish a real lead in the PBT research field.

“With prestigious recognition across the globe, we are delighted to have e3creative on board to develop and deliver an innovative and creative digital platform that will help us achieve our goal of ensuring that excellent multi-disciplinary research is undertaken and best practice shared.”
