McCann Manchester, ranked as Prolific North’s number one integrated agency in the North for 2024, has promoted Laura McKinlay and Graham Todd as joint managing directors. Both will report to CEO, Simon Buchanan.
McKinlay takes on the role of managing director responsible for the agency’s Aldi UK business.
McKinlay joined McCann on its graduate recruitment scheme in 2007, starting out in production and moving into client services in 2008. During her 17 years at McCann she has been instrumental in developing the partnership with supermarket client Aldi, with key successes including winning a Global Grand Effie and a Cannes Lion.
McKinlay spent a year on secondment with Aldi as its marketing director responsible for brand and campaigns. Her new role sees her challenged with continuing to develop market leading effective work to further success.
Todd steps into the role of managing director for the main agency looking after clients such as Matalan, Royal London, Miller Homes and Aldi Ireland and brings a wealth of client experience and a proven track record in growth.
Having worked at agencies in all corners of the world including Hong Kong, Singapore and Amsterdam, Todd joined McCann Manchester in 2007 as group account director. During his time with the agency he has worked across Aldi Ireland, Rugby World Cup, RS components and more recently Matalan.
With numerous awards under his belt across his client portfolio, Todd’s reputation for developing client relationships and delivering stand-out work speaks volumes and makes him well-placed for the role.
Simon Buchanan, CEO said: “This marks a pivotal moment for us as a business and I couldn’t be happier to welcome Laura and Graham to our senior leadership team. Both bring an energy and drive that will help us power full steam ahead with creativity, innovation and growth at the heart of our agenda.
