Drummond Central team swells to 64 amidst string of new client wins

Newcastle creative agency Drummond Central has expanded its team to 64 among a string of high-profile client wins in 2024 to date.

The employee-owned agency has been appointed by several brands in its 20th anniversary year, resulting in 12 new recruits joining the team.

In February, Drummond Central was appointed as the lead strategic and creative agency for premium soft drinks brand Fentimans, tasked with developing a new creative platform for the brand, which is currently in production.

International dairy company, FAGE, has also selected the agency to launch its new product range, Creamy Dreamy in the US, with work expected to launch this autumn.

Most recently, Drummond Central has been appointed as the lead strategic and creative agency by the UK bed retailer Dreams, following a competitive pitch against other independent agencies. The agency is developing a long-term creative platform for the brand, with the first campaign planned to go live in 2025.

Alongside the influx of new clients, the 12 new hires have joined across Drummond’s departments. The agency’s creative team has expanded, with the addition of four new members, as well as the client services team, who have also welcomed four additions. The planning department has added two new roles and a hire has been made in the HR team. The agency has also introduced the new role of marketing executive to its workforce.

Managing director Dan Appleby said: “Our recent wins are a fantastic testament to the hard work and creativity of our team, and our newbies are already making an impact. This is the biggest and best we’ve ever been as an agency. It’s such an exciting time to be a part of Drummond Central – but we are going to need more chairs and desks.”

Having recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, Drummond Central continues to work with renowned clients like Greggs, Triumph Motorcycles, and bet365, having recently launched the brand’s new international ‘Breaking News’ campaign.

And the recruitment isn’t over yet. The agency currently has openings for a senior planner, account director (maternity cover) and HR manager.
