Drinkwell launches Lean Brew-branded low-cal Pilsner

Lean Brew's IPA

Manchester’s guilt-free drink specialist Drinkwell is launching “the EU’s best tasting lower carb beer brand,” Lean Brew, in Pilsner form.

Leanbrew’s IPA is a medal winner at London’s Craft Beer Awards, and the brand is now set to launch its first ever Pilsner, which will be exclusively available to purchase from DrinkWell for £9.99 for a pack of six cans, £19.99 for 12 or £39.99 for 24.

Lean Brew has a full-strength ABV and an incredible taste profile, yet with over 35 per cent fewer calories than other options on the market. The Lean Brew Pilsner contains just 99 calories, 4g of carbs, 0g of added sugar and is gluten free. By comparison, other popular Pilsners contain around 140 calories, 17g of carbs and are generally not gluten free. The award winning beverage took home the Gold Award at the EU Craft Beer Awards 2021 & 2023 against standard craft.

Lean Brew is a part of DrinkWell brands, alongside its own brand of wine, Traces. Drinkwell’s ethos is a simple one; delicious drinks should be enjoyed without guilt. This is why its roster of beverages contain zero sugar, are lower carb, and a fantastic lighter calorie option.

Since launching in 2012, DrinkWell has searched far and wide to find and showcase the UK’s most exciting collection of reduced calorie alcohol available across the UK. Ensuring that the only compromise is the number of calories contained, it makes sure that the drinks it sells are of the highest quality and truly innovative.

Tom Bell, founder of DrinkWell, commented: “We’re very excited to launch the second product for DrinkWell’s own brand of beers with Lean Brew. The new Pilsner is a big step forward for the business and we’re proud to continue to offer great quality tasting beers that are also lower calorie, lower carb, and gluten free.”
