The Lancashire events agency Don’t Panic is expanding its growing ‘Search Awards’ brand, into the US with its inaugural awards set to be held in Las Vegas in October this year.
Don’t Panic launched the UK Search Awards in 2011 and the European Search Awards last year. This year’s UK Search Awards takes place in London in November with the European Search Awards scheduled for June in Barcelona.
The US Search Awards will be held in Las Vegas on 23 October 2013 in association with Pubcon, a social media and search engine optimisation annual conference and expo. The five day event regularly attracts thousands of digital marketers to the city.
Don’t Panic and Pubcon have struck an initial three year deal for Don’t Panic to host the awards as an integral part of the conference.
Nicky Wake of Don’t Panic said: “With the success of our UK and European Search Awards, we were keen to extend the competition to The States which is undeniably the largest search market in the world with an estimated value of almost $23 billion last year.
“We’re delighted to be working with Pubcon and we’ve had the full support of our joint headline sponsors Manual Link Building and Majestic SEO in bringing these awards to the States.”
Wake added that the agency was still finalising their judging panel but she could reveal two names, Rand Fishkin of SEOmoz and former Microsoft senior executive Mel Carson.
Don’t Panic works with Prolific North as the manager of our two Awards: the Prolific North Awards and the Northern Marketing Awards.
