Manchester-based, highly automated, B2B boutique agency, Don’t be Shy, has won the contract to promote Marks and Spencer’s corporate gifting initiative following a competitive pitch process across five agencies.
Jessica Smith, category manager at M&S, said: “We were really impressed with the combination of contextual creativity and automation that Don’t be Shy demonstrated in their pitch. [They] showed a really deep understanding of the brief, an extremely thorough answer to it, and most importantly, had a really great chemistry with our team.”
It’s been a hectic month at Don’t Be Shy. In July the company moved to a new office on Manchester’s Stevenson Square, but not until it had brewed its own ‘ShyPA’ pale ale with nearby Temperance Street Brewery as a novel way to toast its departure from its former Brewer Street office. It has also formed a new four-person board to oversee operations, and now expects to expand its headcount to 40 in the new, larger office space.
