Dom McGregor spearheads major rebrand at North West B2B agency

A North West B2B agency which currently generates over £4m in annual revenue for clients has undergone a major rebrand spearheaded by Social Chain and Fearless Adventures founder Dom McGregor.

Founded three and a half years ago, and previously known more prosaically as simply The Ratcliffe Brothers, noticed. counts the likes of the NHS and Ibiza’s Ocean Beach among its clients. With a full-time team of 14, the agency has over the last 12 months generated £4.25m pounds in attributable revenue for clients, amassed 160.5m impressions across their accounts, and worked with clients in 12 different countries.

Founders Niall and Morgan Ratcliffe, from Burnley, have also built personal followings of around 50k on LinkedIn, generating around 8m impressions on their personal accounts over the last year.

Niall said: “At the time [we launched] Morgan was in corporate finance, he was an economic analyst in Illinois, and also worked for Virgin Bank, and I was at a London startup in the personal branding space and building profile on LinkedIn.

“Someone reached out and offered me my full time wage to essentially work for them as a client, and I called Morgan up and said ‘look, I think this can be something here.’ He said ‘why don’t you start a business?’ It was a crazy idea, but we tried it anyway. We couldn’t think of a name at the time, so we called ourselves the Ratcliffe Brothers, because our last name was Ratcliffe and we were brothers, so it started off pretty small.

“I was on LinkedIn, and we quickly got to six figures in revenue in about three weeks just for announcing it on there. Then over the last three years, that’s fully expanded. First with one team member, we hired our mum to come on board, and now we’re a team of 14 full time, plus contractors and so on as well.”

Those working in the branding space may have already noted that, as the company’s stature grew, the name ‘The Ratcliffe Brothers’ didn’t exactly scream ‘branding gurus.’ So, when the brothers were introduced to McGregor in an advisory capacity through a mutual friend, it’s unsurprising that the name was at the top of his list.

“We wanted to be the Social Chain of the B2B world, And Dom said ‘boys, there’s a massive issue with the branding here. To do that, you have to have something more powerful – a new name,’” Niall explained.

“So Dom came on board, and he’s been advising us over the last three months through the rebrand. The whole process went through Dom, which has been fantastic, and we’ve finally rebranded to noticed. – ‘where companies go to get noticed.’”

With inspiration for the new name striking Niall in the shower, in-house designer and creative director Grayson Chappell took charge of turning the rebrand round in about three weeks, with McGregor on advisory duty, including the new logo, landing page, a full website that is currently under construction, trademarks signed and locked in, full branding, new decks for clients, socials, and a launch video which brought the entire team together to shoot in Preston.

Chappell added: “Three years ago, this company was just two brothers telling stories. Today, it’s a team of 14 of the most talented marketers I know delivering incredible results for the client base. And ‘noticed.’ will represent that.”

In case you were wondering, the brothers’ mum still works for the company.
