Disney+ releases trailer for Beatles ’64

Disney+ has released the first trailer for its new documentary, Beatles ’64 from producer Martin Scorsese and director David Tedeschi.

Streaming from the end of this month, the film features never-before-seen footage of the moment the Liverpool band first visits America.

The film, shot by pioneering documentarians Albert and David Maysles, has been restored in 4K by Park Road Post in New Zealand.

It starts from the moment The Beatles land in New York City meeting thousands of fans and starting Beatlemania in America.

The live performances from their first American concert at the Washington, DC Coliseum and their Ed Sullivan appearances have been demixed by WingNut Films and then remixed by Giles Martin.

It’s produced Martin Scorsese, Margaret Bodde, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Olivia Harrison, Sean Ono Lennon, Jonathan Clyde, and Mikaela Beardsley, with Jeff Jones and Rick Yorn serving as executive producers.

Coinciding with the release, 7 American Beatles albums have been analogue cut for 180-gram audiophile vinyl from their original mono master tapes for global release on November 22 by Apple Corps Ltd./Capitol/UMe.
