On March 9th, Dominique Elsey will appear in the event’s Keynote Theatre to share the social platform’s trends for the upcoming year. Elsey, who works on establishing Hootsuite’s marketing strategy in the United Kingdom and Ireland, is an experienced marketing strategist and was a hugely popular speaker at 2020’s Digital City Festival.
Gareth Turner will be speaking on March 10th in the Marketing Masterclass Theatre, discussing “the tweet that broke the internet” – the brand’s much-discussed crossover with Heinz Beanz.
Turner, who has extensive experience spearheading marketing for brands including John Smith’s, Lurpak and Arla, will share the story behind the Weetabix social post which hit 1.3 billion views and was selected by Marketing Week readers as Campaign of the Year 2021.
Commenting on the announcement, Dominique Elsey said: “Digital City Festival was the last in-person event I attended in 2020, which makes me all the more excited that it’s the first event that brings us back to the Keynote Stage!
“I’ll be sharing the top Social Media Trends for 2022 from Hootsuite’s annual report. It will be your guide to taking all the right risks, defying expectations, outperforming your competitors and making everyone wonder how you did it.”
Gareth Turner added: “Digital City Festival is a great chance to showcase the excellent marketing that’s going on across the UK, not only in London.
“I’m delighted to have been asked to speak at this year’s event – the agenda looks brilliant across the two days and I am looking forward to seeing some people in real life again.”
