Fat Media has completed an online store for one of the UK’s biggest suppliers of early years products, Millwood Education.
The Lancaster agency has completed the first phase of the project, which included a redesign of the website; transferring customer data and a major upgrade of its web platform.
Now sitting on Magento 2, it hopes that this will lead to improved online sales.
“We’ve essentially overhauled the online store for Millwood Education, improving the ecommerce function by upgrading to Magento 2,” explained Andy Frobisher, Account Manager at Fat Media.
“We’ve also changed the whole look of the site, so it better showcases the brand position of Millwood Education, while also altering the design and layout for visitors, to improve the user experience. We’ve added things like a simple mega menu, so it’s easy to find products and also a tiled layout on the home page, which signposts visitors to popular areas of the site. We’ve also improved the basket and checkout process, so the shopping experience as a whole is smoother and more user friendly.”
The agency will also be providing ongoing SEO support.
“We realised that we needed to update our website so that we could enhance our customers experience and make our website easy to navigate. We also needed to be able to update and add new products immediately as and when they became available, as well as also being able to advertise new promotions and offers,” added Ann Yates, Managing Director of Millwood Education.
“The new website on the Magento platform is a joy to use, it is a lot easier to manage, adding and updating products is straightforward. The website also allows us to react quicker to customer requirements and we are able to keep customers informed how their order is progressing. We love it!”
