DEPT has named Joanna Trippett as its new EVP of the EMEA region.
Her promotion will also mean a new leadership team taking the helm of its UK&I operations.
Trippett has been at the group since 2019, initially at BYTE, where she was MD EMEA, she became UK Managing Director of DEPT in 2022 and at the turn of the year became SVP of Growth for EMEA.
“We are creating a new blueprint for what a modern agency and consultative model looks like – by changing perceptions of what businesses can expect from a partner, and supporting our clients through the AI transformation,” she explained.
“We are agile, ambitious, opinionated, and independent – that applies to our internal culture, client engagements, and advantage alongside our competitors. I’m proud to be part of the team taking the company to its next stage of maturity and I am grateful to the team and leaders – present and past – for the opportunity.”
In the new role, she’ll report directly to the global CEO, Dimi Albers and head up its regional leadership team of Simon Walsh (Experience & Engineering), Willem Blom (Creative & Media), Marjan Smit (People), Julie Luu (Finance), and Tim van Vliet (Operations).
“Anyone who has met or come across Joanna knows any business would be lucky to have her at the helm,” added Albers.
“Over the years we’ve seen her grow into the leader she is today – she embodies our commitment to innovation, passion to raise expectations, and drive to deliver pioneering work that helps our clients stay ahead. She relentlessly fosters our culture of disruption and we can’t wait to see the impact she’ll make in this role.”
Around 2000 staff work across the EMEA region, which contributes 51% to DEPT’s global revenue.
The new UK & Ireland team will be led by Ali McClintock (Growth & Head of UKI) alongside Elizabeth Powell, Adam Jewson, Stephen Murphy, Jeff Bowerman and Mark Wright.
DEPT is owned by Carlyle Group and has its UK headquarters in Manchester.
