Dept at 2020’s Digital City Festival

Dept will support the festival as it returns in a truly digital format. 2021’s Digital City Festival will be hosted on the Digital City Network, an online platform allowing professionals worldwide to access insights from a wide range of thought leaders, as well as engaging the exhibiting organisations.

After an enormously successful 2020 Digital City Festival, it returns online, bringing together keynotes, masterclasses, networking and collaboration opportunities and much more through the digital platform.

At 2020’s festival, Dept came on-board as Digital City Champion, providing wide-ranging support across the five-day event which included sponsoring the Expo’s central bar, hosting the after-party, exhibiting and hosting a keynote session.

Brian Robinson, UK Managing Director of Dept, said: “Dept was Digital City Champion at the 2020 festival, and we wanted to continue our legacy as being a huge supporter not only of the Digital City Festival, but of the wider community.

“Together, we have the opportunity to shape our collective digital future, and the Digital City Network and Festival is an ideal place to collaborate.

“It’s been a tough year for everyone, but we strongly believe that by merging technology, creativity and data, organisations can accelerate their digital business and become future-ready.

“The silver lining of this year has been the opportunity for business leaders to think transformatively; over the past nine months, we’ve had a hand in helping businesses to transform digitally, from launching new business models to implementing rapid digitalisation. Digital has enabled them to not only mitigate short term risk, but to look ahead to future growth.

“Manchester is a hub of entrepreneurial spirit and digital innovation, and the Digital City Festival is the ideal platform to inspire, educate and collaborate. This year’s event was a huge success for us; from the expo to our fringe events and the epic after party, everything about it really reflected the vibrancy of the digital sector in Manchester. We’ll be running events throughout the 2021 festival and beyond, and we look forward to sharing our expertise with the wider community.”
