The Co-op has confirmed that Dentsu Aegis has been awarded its media planning and buying account.
The multimillion pound contract went up for review earlier this year after the Manchester group decided to consolidate its planning and buying into one.
It had been held by more than a decade by OMG, through Rocket. However, in January, Omnicom decided to merge Rocket with sister agency, Hearts & Science and drop Rocket as a brand.
“The quality of all the pitches was very impressive but Dentsu Aegis Network demonstrated that they understood our member-owned business and our ‘One Co-op’ approach. I would like to thank OMG for their work over last 13 years,” stated Alison Jones, the Co-op’s customer director.
