Online Home Shop (OHS) has appointed PR and social agency Democracy to grow brand awareness for its ecommerce homeware store.
Manchester-based Democracy scooped the retained contract in a competitive pitch. The remit is to drive brand fame, range awareness, links and site visits across consumer and business media channels.
OHS, which made the Sunday Times fastest growing private companies top 100 for the last two years, has been hailed by Andy Burnham, Mayor of Greater Manchester, as a “Greater Manchester success story.”
Led by entrepreneur Moshe Cohen alongside brother Gav Cohen and father Max Cohen, the business was founded in 2014. Their online store offers value for money homewares including bedding, towels, throws, storage and loungewear and they offer more than 500 products for less than £10.
Moshe Cohen, managing director of OHS, said: “Online Home Shop is on a steep growth curve and Democracy impressed us with their commercial awareness, media insights and outstanding contacts. They will help drive OHS forward to reach our ambitious commercial targets in 2024 and beyond.”
Jennifer O’Grady, founder of Democracy, added: “OHS is a perfect fit for us. They have a true challenger brand attitude and are keen to hijack emerging trends and experiment with new ways to unlock consumer shopping audiences, driving fame and clicks as well as purchases.
“At Democracy, we supercharge challenger brands. Christmas is a key gifting period for OHS and we’ve already delivered a raft of coverage and links in tier-A titles within the first two weeks.”
