Manchester production agency, Dead Pixel Films, has hired new talent Sarah Hancox as creative producer and Dan Hough as motion graphics lead.
Hancox joins from ITV, where she served as a live vison mixer, and brings extensive experience in production management, while Hough was previously head of creative at Manchester agency Shoot The Moon. He will now lead the development of Dead Pixel’s motion graphics & VFX offering.
Hancox said: “I’ve worked with the team as a freelancer in the past and love the culture of the company. I’m also a massive foodie and love the outdoors so practically all Dead Pixel’s shoots, align with my passions”.
Hancox also turned her food styling and photography hobby into a business during lockdown, amassing over 14,000 Instagram followers and working with brands including Morrisons, Simply Cook and Happy Egg Co.
Kieran Edwards, creative director at Dead Pixel confirmed that her love of food will be useful at Dead Pixel, which specialises in sport, lifestyle and food content. Edwards said: “Sarah’s skills in both video production and food is a bit of a unicorn, and one that will be an asset to many of the brands and agencies that we work with.”
Turning his attention to fellow new signing Hough, Edwards added: “Coming from an agency head of creative role brings a whole host of experience and technical capabilities that can only benefit our clients, both agencies and brands. Motion graphics & VFX is something that we’ve needed to strengthen for a while so it’s fantastic to have Dan onboard to push us on in that area.”
Dead Pixel have recently completed projects for the likes of Pizza Co, Barburrito, Knowsley Safari, Myvegan and Shipyard Beer.
