UTV Media has appointed Dave Bethell to become the voice of all 13 of its local radio stations.
The two-time Sony Radio Academy Gold award-winner will provide voiceovers for all station imaging, promotions and trailers.
“We’re really pleased to have signed one of the best imaging voices in the business – Dave brings a wealth of experience and skill to the role and we can’t wait to have him on board,” said Terry Underhill, group programme director for UTV.
Bethell has previously been the lead station voice for Kiss 100, the Heart Network and Emap’s Big City Network. He’s also the promotional voice for CNN International.
“I’m really looking forward to working with UTV’s local stations and their creative teams, and I’m sure we’ll produce some excellent radio,” he said.
UTV Media (GB) is based in Warrington and owns stations including The Pulse 1 and 2 in Bradford, Kirklees and Calderdale, Peak FM in North Derbyshire, Radio Wave in Blackpool, Tower FM in Bolton and Bury and Wish FM in Wigan and St Helens.
