Happy Radio UK has announced that it will be expanding its DAB coverage across the North West.
The station, which was set up by Darren Proctor and Max Eden earlier this year, signed up a host of famous local names, including Steve Penk, Spence Macdonald and Chelsea Norris.
Today it confirmed it will be joining multiplexes in West Cheshire, Chester, North Wales and in the Flyde Coast. It will also air on Freeview 277 across the Granada region.
“In the 6 months since we’ve launched; the response to the station has just been incredible and proves that there has and always will be a want for local radio!” said Eden.
“We’re really excited to be welcoming our latest amazing new sponsors of our daytime line up joining the Happy Radio Family and enabling us to further expand our coverage across the region.”
Those sponsors include Arighi Bianchi, which will be supporting Steve Penk’s daily show. Kiss Dental meanwhile is sponsoring the Breakfast Show with Spence Macdonald.
“The response to what we are doing at Happy Radio is phenomenal and one of the most important things for us, is for everybody to be able to enjoy the radio station, that’s why expanding our coverage was so important; particularly with having relationships with such well known business brands across Manchester & Cheshire,” added Proctor.
