Dan Walker is joining Classic FM to wake up the nation with a new weekday breakfast show from 6.30am.
The all-new Classic FM Breakfast with Dan Walker sees the presenter return to presenting at breakfast time, providing a relaxing start to the day featuring the very best classical music.
Walker said: “I’m over the moon that I’m going to be part of Classic FM’s brilliant line-up and presenting the breakfast show is a wonderful opportunity.
“I am passionate about classical music and I’m a long-time listener – I also love the breakfast audience and I think they know me well so I can’t wait to get started.”
Philip Noyce, Classic FM’s managing editor, added: “It’s really fitting to welcome in the new year with our new-look 2024 schedule, and to be able to welcome Dan Walker back to breakfast broadcasting as the new host of Classic FM Breakfast is fantastic.
The signing is part of a new 2024 lineup for Classic FM in 2024, including a brand new programme for current Breakfast host, Tim Lihoreau, with more details to be announced in the coming days.
Classic FM Breakfast with Dan Walker will launch on Monday, January 8, while former Football Focus and BBC Breakfast host Walker will continue his work with 5 News for Channel 5 alongside his new Classic FM gig.
