The recently-announced diversity panel that will take place in the Keynote Theatre at Digital City Expo in March will now also feature Noha Amin, award-winning cybersecurity specialist, and Namrata Murlidhar Anand, LinkedIn Learning’s Director of International Marketing.

We recently revealed that the Founder of Diverse & Equal, and Co-op Digital Delivery Manager, Annette Joseph, will appear on the panel. Now, we can reveal two more thought leaders in diversity who will speak alongside her.

Namrata Murlidhar Anand (above, left) is Director of International Marketing at LinkedIn Learning. In this role she’s responsible for brand, product and field marketing. She’s previously worked at a range of UK and European startups.

They will be joined by Noha Amin (above, left), multi-award winning leader in cybersecurity. She has been named among the Top 30 Women in Tech in Manchester by the MEN, and an advisory board member for a wide range of initiatives aimed at women in technology.

The panel is hosted in the Keynote Theatre of Digital City Expo, where a range of industry leaders across marketing, eCommerce, tech and more will speak.

Digital City Expo – the cornerstone event of Digital City Festival – comes to Manchester Central on March 11th and 12th, bringing together a wide range of leading exhibitors under one roof. The expo unites Marketing Show North, eCommerce Show North, and Tech Show North – plus the new Media Zone.

Registration is open now, and guarantees entry to all four shows for free.

Speaking ahead of the event, Murlidhar Anand said: “I am very much looking forward to joining a panel on diversity in tech at the Digital City Expo. The topic is close to my heart. Having grown up in Asia and America, and lived and worked across three continents in a tech career spanning almost two decades, I am passionate about women in technology and promoting diversity in tech.

“I am looking forward to the panel discussion on how we can promote diversity in the workplace, as we all know that a more diverse workforce results in greater financial gains.

“Bringing together the best minds across tech and discussing the future of digital technologies across multiple disciplines is a worthy day out of the office.

“For those attending Digital City Festival, getting the time to think through and network with thought leaders on the future of digital technology and how they impact different functions such as marketing and media – with actionable insights to bring back to your organisation – is an investment in your career, the future of your organisation, and the future of the industry, as well as the region.”

Amin said: “I’m honoured to be invited as a panellist at Digital City Expo, believing that diverse perspectives and backgrounds make better panels and speaker rosters. A wide variety of voices and perspectives challenge the audience and participants to think differently about the topic. This variety generates far more dynamic and engaging discussions, with less repetition of the same talking points.

“Digital City Festival will combine all tech advocates under one umbrella, making new ideas and strategies handy to everyone who is looking to sprint their business’s development.”

She is interested in “Exploring the personal and employment barriers towards women in tech, and how the UK can take a step towards overcoming these struggles and challenges.”

As well as the expo, Digital City Festival also features a wide range of fringe events covering topics like smart cities, responsible tech and social issues – as well as the Digital City Awards, dedicated to celebrating the best digital talent and performance both nationally and internationally.
