Bradford Council has appointed CreativeRace to lead the marketing on its £22m Master Delivery Plan.
Due for delivery in 2021, it focuses on the renovation of the city’s markets area, to create a food-focused market and public realm.
“It’s exciting for CreativeRace to work with such a breadth of cross industry leaders to deliver this exciting project for Bradford,” said Gordon Bethell, Chairman of CreativeRace.
“The work being created with the Bradford Council team reflects our continuing evolution and growth as an agency. We are increasingly working closely with public sector projects since we expanded our leadership team with a number of individuals with influential backgrounds and sector experience and expertise.”
Strategy Director, Nicola Carey and Design Director, Steve Rowe will lead on the project for the Yorkshire agency.
“This major project will be transformational for Bradford so we have commissioned an industry-leading team to ensure its success,” added Colin Wolstenholme, Bradford Council’s Markets Manager.
“Current proposals include building a spacious modern market with a dedicated underground servicing area and a dynamic new public space to host outdoor stalls and specialist open air events. This exciting development will add to Bradford’s draw as a shopping and leisure destination, and attract significantly more people into the city. It will also help redefine Darley Street and the city centre, and showcase the fantastic Victorian buildings on Piccadilly by making them a lot more visible.”
