Creative Spark Re:Brands Lowry Hotel spa

Creative Spark has continued its long standing relationship with Manchester’s Lowry Hotel, by creating the brand identity for Re:Treat, the hotel’s new wellness spa.

Re:Treat is a move away from a conventional hotel spa, offering a range of therapies and experiences within the four pillars of social, spiritual, emotional and physical wellness, each tailored specifically to individuals.

The change in offer required a complete rebrand with a new name that could be owned by the hotel. Creative Spark created the name Re:Treat adapting the Re: as an agile marketing device. Re: follows through the brand and reveals the spa’s rationale behind the four areas of wellness.

The creative for the brand is contemporary, spiritual and refined, reflecting inner balance and personal wellness. A calming palette of earth inspired colours sit alongside custom made typographic flourishes and a petal inspired marque completes the identity. Exclusive photography is used across all media. Creative Spark also created a series of motion graphics and a short film celebrating the new brand identity by using assets across the hotel spa’s social media platforms.

Creative Spark design director, Ryan Spence said: “We have worked with the iconic Lowry Hotel for over 12 years and we were thrilled to be asked to create the brand identity for the hotel’s new spa. The spa has facilities unlike any other in Manchester so it was our challenge to refine the identity to reflect the exclusive therapies and treatments on offer. The beautiful new space is a calming environment in the city centre with influences from nature, we have reflected this in the petal accent in the brand identity. The naming of the spa comes from the position of rebalancing so Re: is a constant symbol throughout the communications we created. We look forward to Re:Treat being a huge success for both the Lowry Hotel and Manchester.”

The Lowry Hotel commercial director Kelly Andreasson added: “Creative Spark has been our creative partner for over 12 years and once again they have understood our communication needs and created a beautiful brand to represent our new state of the art spa. At Re: Treat our guests can enjoy treatments unique to Manchester and our new brand reflects that exclusive experience.”
