Creative Industries Trafford (CIT) will present the SciArt Conference 2022 at Sale Waterside on November 1.
This one-day event is for artists, scientists, educators, researchers and producers focusing on how collaborations between art and science, and artists and scientists can inform, engage, educate and inspire through innovative partnerships and bold creative approaches.
The conference will feature a mix of roundtable discussions on funding, science communication and partnerships, along with project showcases from artists and scientists and an Ideas Exchange.
Panel talks will present a mix of practical advice and thought-provoking discussion ona wide range of topics from foiling fake news to finding your perfect (SciArt) partner. There will also be an informal networking space for artists, scientists and organisations to meet each other and share their reflections at the end of the day.
CIT coordinator Richard Evans said: “We’re thrilled to bring the conference back to Waterside for the second time to support artists and scientists working together. As we deal with the challenges of the pandemic and climate change, innovative approaches to good science communication are more important than ever. We’re looking forward to a fascinating and inspiring event.”
