A new series focusing on a specialist animal care unit in County Durham will air on the BBC from Monday.
During the day, Wear Referrals, treats animals with with complex needs and conditions and then transforms into an A&E unit over night.
The series, produced by Twenty Six 03, films staff dealing with everything from suspected kidney tumours on Labradors, to wild owls injured by cars.
“I can’t wait for our viewers to meet the staff and patients at the Pet Hospital. Get ready for some heart-warming telly as we look at the incredible expertise and loving care that goes into making our beloved pets well again,” said Helen Munson, BBC Daytime Commissioning Editor.
Twenty Six 03 is the Gateshead indie behind BBC Three’s Angels of the North.
The 10 part series was commissioned by BBC Daytime and BBC England. It will air at 10am from 6th February.
