Wilmslow’s Mather & Co has completed the interiors of the new Coronation Street Experience for ITV.
The broadcaster’s first-ever purpose-built, public facing building was built earlier this year.
Based at its Trafford Wharf site, the visitor centre has been transformed into the “ultimate haven for ardent Coronation Street viewers.”
This includes a chance to step into replica sets of the Rovers and Roy’s Rolls, see authentic costumes, props and relive classic moments in a dedicated cinema space.
“Working with ITV again is a great honour, as Mather & Co has developed a strong relationship with the renowned brand since the 2014 tour,” said Paul Lee, Design Director at Mather & Co.
“We are delighted to have had the opportunity to create such an exceptional experience for this acclaimed TV show.”
The building also features 3 conference and events spaces which will be available for hire.
“The new experience finds its home in a state-of-the-art, purpose-built media building spanning an impressive 16,500 square feet,” said James Penfold, Controller Commercial, Global Entertainment, ITV Studios.
“Located within the north-east corner of the Production Lot, this remarkable structure features the exhibition, a 64-seater cinema auditorium, a retail area, and a cafe.”
The attraction opens its door on 10th June.
