South Yorkshire ecommerce group, Mattress Online, has boosted its digital and commercial team.

The Rotherham company has recruited a new Ecommerce Marketing Manager, Content Strategist and General Operations Manager.

Michael Rhodes takes up the ecommerce marketing role, having previously been Performance Marketing Manager at BT. Prior to that he worked on performance marketing at Plusnet. He spent more than 2 decades as Head of Ecommerce, Development and IT at Leger Holidays.

He’ll be joined by Adam Blaxhall, who moves from Woo Content, where he was Content Manager. The former head of Content at Ignition Search comes with 10 years experience at Press Association.

The final new recruit is Alison Straw, who’s been named General Operations Manager after 10 years at global hearing solutions firm, Med-El. She’ll oversee operations across warehousing, logistics, customer service and dispatch for the online retailer.

“Mattress Online grew rapidly during the previous two years and we have great plans to keep expanding with new stores and an augmented Development and Digital division,” explained Steve Adams, Chief Executive Officer.

“Specialist skills are crucial when we recruit, so I am delighted to have welcomed a trio of strong new hires in Alison, Adam and Michael – who each bring their own unique experience and contribution to our growth plans.”

The company, which now has around 80 members of staff has recently increased its presence in Rotherham, with additional warehouse space.
