Co-op Live appoints Swizzels as official sweets supplier

With Co-op’s teething troubles finally behind it and the venue open to the public in earnest, there remained one key thing that still needed addressing by the UK’s biggest arena. That too seems to have been put to rest with the appointment of Swizzels as Co-op’s official sweets supplier.

Visitors to the venue, which promises to ‘elevate the fan experience’ through its acoustic design, varied food and drink, and unique clubs and lounges, will be able to purchase a host of Swizzels favourites, including Squashies, the UK’s best-selling sugar confectionery hanging bags, at select concessions and Co-op stores located throughout the venue.

Swizzels has recently opened a new factory in Cheshire to keep up with the phenomenal demand for Squashies.

As well as supplying several different flavours of Squashies, including Drumstick Original and the newest flavour Strawberry & Cream, Swizzels will be providing personalised rolls of its iconic Love Hearts to Co-op Live’s wide range of performers.

Visitors to the premium areas of the arena will also be able to buy Swizzels hampers containing a mix of fan favourites, such as Squashies, Love Hearts, Drumstick lollies and Refreshers.

Sam Piccione III, president, sales, Oak View Group International said: “From our locally sourced construction materials to our wide choice of partners, Co-op Live is dedicated to supporting local enterprise that share our values and principles.

“As a long-established, independent and fiercely proud North West business, Swizzels ticks all our boxes. We are delighted to have them join our portfolio of carefully curated sponsors and suppliers.”

A joint venture by Oak View Group and City Football Group, with added investment by global superstar Harry Styles, Co-op Live now provides a game changing experience that fans and artists alike will never forget.
