Details are starting to emerge about where in the north Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson had been filming before the ‘fracas’.
The controversial and outspoken presenter is currently suspended by BBC bosses over an alleged incident with a BBC producer which is believed to have been sparked about the lack of catering facilities on the shoot.
The Sunderland Echo says this morning that the producer involved in the alleged bust-up took place after filming in Newcastle. He has been named by the Daily Mirror as Oisin Tymon, 36, an assistant producer on Top Gear for over a decade.
Meanwhile, North Yorkshire Police was reportedly inundated with inquiries about whether the latest alleged incident had taken place in the Hawes area of North Yorkshire which has been a location for previous filming.
The force statement says: “ There has been suggestions that the alleged ‘fracas’ occurred in the Hawes area.
“We can confirm that no complaints have been reported to North Yorkshire Police.”
Clarkson’s suspension has already sparked a petition calling for his re-instatement. It is not known how many Liverpudlian’s have joined that call – just last month Clarkson slated the city in typical foul-mouthed style.
