Clara Amfo goes back to her Routes with Distorted podcast

Leeds-based This is Distorted has produced a new podcast for LNER.

Routes with Clara Amfo features well known faces including Tom Grennan, Candice Brathwaite, Babatunde Aleshe, and Arielle Free, as they explore what travel means to them—whether across the LNER East Coast Mainline or beyond.

“I’m delighted to team up with LNER for the Routes podcast where we get into the fun, personal and sometimes awkward side of travel!” she said.

“Travel has always been my way of embracing new experiences and I love exploring during work and in my downtime. We have a great lineup of guests who all bring their unique and universal takes on what it is to step outside of their usual surroundings, that will hopefully inspire our listeners to do the same!”

Described as “both relatable and aspirational”, guests will be asked about the travel experiences that have shaped them, plus their memories and weird and wonderful encounters they’ve had along the way.

“I’m so excited about the launch of Routes with Clara Amfo, with a stellar guest list and a brilliant host,” said Stuart Thomas, LNER’s Communications Director.

“There’s nothing better than relaxing on one of our trains and listening to a podcast—and I know this one is going straight to the top of my list. As well as being available through all the usual podcast channels, Routes will be available directly onboard LNER services using a seat-back QR code.”
