Citypress MD delivers fascinating insight into agency’s growth at first Prolific North Independent Agencies dinner

The evening also featured an exclusive question and answer session with Charles Tattersall, chief executive of Citypress, who also took questions from the floor.

Hosted by Prolific North editor David Prior, the session saw Tattersall provide a fascinating insight into his 21 years at the helm of one of the largest PR agencies outside London.

Charles, who has grown the agency’s billings from £300,000 to over £8million since becoming its sole owner in 1998, lifted the lid on some key moments during his tenure and how he had ensured an unbroken run of 21 years of growth.

He also delved into the cultural changes he had put in place at Citypress, changes which had seen it become the only PR agency to feature in the Sunday Times Top 100 Best Small Companies to Work For.

Other parts of the discussion touched on the benefits of remaining independent and the current state of the London/North divide.
