Citypress lands brief with £1bn-saving fintech Chip

One of the UK’s fastest growing fintech companies, Chip, the wealth app, has appointed Citypress as its public relations partner following a competitive pitch.

The award-winning wealth management app, which offers one place for savings and investments, has already helped over 500,000 people in the UK to build their wealth, saving users over £1bn.

Following huge growth year-on-year and after successive crowdfunding campaigns, the business will work with Citypress to promote its mission to build wealth for our generation.

Citypress will be responsible for multi-channel communications work, including corporate and consumer public relations campaigns.

Alex Latham, co-founder and CMO of Chip, said: “We’ve had a fantastic period of growth and have bold ambitions for the next 12 months. Finding a public relations partner that has a real understanding of our mission and a deep experience in financial services and technology was essential. Citypress really understood what we are about, with the creative flair and strategic insights to help us reach an even bigger audience.”

Dom Pendry, senior director at Citypress, added: “The way we save and invest has changed dramatically in recent years and Chip is revolutionising and democratising how we can build wealth. We’re excited about supporting them in the next step of their growth.”

Citypress is one of the leading independent PR, social and creative communications agencies in the UK and in 2021 became employee owned. The agency has won several major new clients in recent months, including eBay, Silentnight, TopCashback Crown Paints, Continental Tyres, Primark, and Radisson Hotels. Other clients include Aldi, Molson Coors, British Land, and Lloyds Banking Group.
