Mark Chapman has announced he is stepping down as presenter of BBC Sport’s The NFL Show after five years.

Chapman has presented the Sunday night show alongside Osi Umenyiora and Jason Bell since 2015, catering for NFL aficionados and attracting new fans to the sport.

The Manchester-based presenter announced he was stepping down from the MediaCityUK-produced show on Twitter.

“I’ve had five great years presenting the NFL but I have now decided to step down,” he wrote. “Nobody can go on for ever (unless you are Tom Brady). I wish Dan and the boys continued success.

“Thank you to the NFL communities on both sides of the pond for welcoming me into their sport.”

Chapman will continue to present 5 Live Sport and Match of the Day 2.
