Channel 4 celebrates its first Yorkshire Day since opening its national HQ in Leeds with two videos about ‘God’s Own Country’.

One of the short films, shot by local photographer Duncan Cuthbertson, includes the first aerial look at The Majestic, which will become the channel’s new Yorkshire home.

Panning aerially across the city, viewers take a journey down to Leeds Dock to the waterside location of the new studio for Steph McGovern’s daytime show, which returns to Channel 4 this Autumn.

The other is a short film celebrating some of the programmes made in the county – both films were specially made to coincide with the annual Yorkshire Day celebrations on August 1st.

The second film was produced by Channel 4’s new in-house digital content studio 4Studio, which is based in Leeds.

The short features a variety of programmes created, shot or produced in Yorkshire. Shows such as Ackley Bridge, Educating Yorkshire and Gogglebox are included.

The films were shared across Channel 4’s social media platforms on Saturday 1st August.
