Manchester’s Building Blocks is opening a second international office and its first in mainland Europe.
The agency has announced that it is setting up a base in Zaragoza in Spain, with 10 employees, although plans are in place to increase this to 30 within the next 2 years.
“Our research makes us believe that Spain, and Zaragoza in particular, can offer Building Blocks access to a highly skilled and enthusiastic work force to help us achieve our growth plans,” explained Building Blocks’ co-founder, Jonathan Whiteside.
Last year the company appointed Dutch digital specialist, Jasper van de Luijtgaarden as CEO, in order to drive its international growth. The firm already has a North American operation, based in San Francisco and recently moved into a new office in central Manchester to accomodate additional staff.
“Building Blocks delivers digital technology solutions on global basis to a rapidly increasing international client base. Expanding into Spain will help us to continue delivering our exceptional levels of service, whilst enabling us to achieve our ambitions in mainland Europe and beyond,” added van de Luijtgaarden.
