Former PHD North Managing Director Dani Briers has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer of MediaCityUK-based Chief Productions.
The production company was established in 2002 and had a turnover of £8m in 2018. Briers left McCann Birmingham after eight months as Managing Director last September. Prior to that he was Group Business Director of Carat and ran PHD Manchester for five years.
He said: “Having enjoyed a fantastic working relationship with the team at Chief for more than 18 years it’s long been an ambition of ours for me to join the business.
“It’s been like coming home and my initial role is to bring some big business behaviours to a first-class production company where the year-on-year growth has been strong, the quality of creative output is well-recognised and our ambitions are ever-growing.”
Chief executive Colin Offland added, “Our goal is to make great commercials, film and TV, music promos and content, and Dani’s appointment is a demonstration of our commitment to remain at the forefront of our industry.
“The experience, energy and ambition that he is already bringing to bear within Chief will build on the great things we have already achieved and continue to propel our business forward.”
