Brazen lands Manchester Airport Group retained brief

The sky’s the limit as Brazen celebrates its partnership with Manchester Airport Group (MAG), the largest airport group in the UK, following a competitive pitch process.

The remit will see Brazen supporting the MAG Marketing team on projects to add real value in communicating their best-in-class customer service and operational excellence – including showcasing Manchester Airport as the UK’s global gateway in the North, Stansted Airport as the country’s leader for destinations in Europe and East Midlands Airport as the UK’s biggest cargo operation as well as a popular passenger airport.

The team will help MAG celebrate their £1.3bn transformation programme at Manchester Airport and its centrepiece, the newly extended Terminal 2. Manchester Airport’s transformation project is on track for completion in 2025 and Brazen Boutique, the agency’s specialist hospitality division will champion the new F&B offering which pays homage to Mancunian brands including Archies, San Carlo and Pot Kettle Black (with many more to come) plus support with aviation projects for exciting new routes.

Charlotte Shi, head of marketing for Manchester Airport said: “Here at Manchester Airport we’re proud to serve the people of the North, connecting them to more than 200 destinations around the world – a route network unrivalled by any airport outside London.

“Our £1.3bn investment is transforming the airport into one that would be at home in any major capital city and will really allow people to start their holidays at the airport.

“So this is an incredibly exciting time for Manchester Airport, and we’re delighted to be welcoming Brazen Boutique to our team. We were on the lookout for a partner that understood how to deliver successful commercial PR activities that tie into commercial results.

“This isn’t just about Manchester. MAG is the largest airport group in the country and we have lots of development plans at both Stansted and East Midlands too that we can’t wait to work with Brazen on.”

Brazen’s win coincides with the appointment of Deepa Parekh as team lead for the Brazen Boutique division. Deepa has a 20-year track record in the sports, media, and hospitality industries and a history of launching multiple successful venues.

Brazen Boutique was launched in 2022 to service the needs of hospitality, travel and retail brands across the North and operates as a specialist division within the 50-strong agency. Clients include Great Northern Warehouse, The Lowry Hotel, El Gato Group, Black Cat, Maya Manchester, Sexy Fish Manchester, Hyatt Manchester.
