Blakeway North has completed The People’s Vet for Channel 4.

The 20-part series airs next month, set around the People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals (PDSA) in Liverpool.

The 2 hospitals in Kirkdale and Huyton treat around 350 animals each day, from puppies to hedgehogs.

The series is narrated by John Thomson and executive produced by Sarah Murch.

“We learn their back-stories and follow their pet’s journey though consultation and treatment and then check-up on their recovery back at home,” explained Murch.

“Each and every episode ranges from the dramatic, nerve-racking and emotional, to the heartwarming and humorous. The endearing Scouse-wit shines through even the most moving moments and everyday there is always a different tale to tell.”

The programmes are produced and directed by Tom Reeves and Dan Harrison, with Blake McGrow the series producer.
