BJL has developed a rap battle concept to launch a new product for Florette.

The 30 second TV commercial, features a face-off between a young girl who loves the Classic Crispy flavour and a  “butch-but-sensitive” man on the Sweet Crispy Side.

It ends by asking: “What’s your Flavourette?”

“This campaign is the outcome of finding a way to demonstrate that not all salads are the same. Your option isn’t just to be lumped together as a bagged salad buyer, you can join the side that reflects your taste,” explained Richard Pearson, Creative Director at BJL.

“This campaign has been an amazing collaboration involving musicians and battle rap specialists. It’s a great way for Florette to launch Sweet Crispy into the UK market.”

The campaign will run across television, print, online, social media and supermarket promotions.

“Our customer research shows that the taste repertoire of salad lovers is expanding, and that their salad shop is no longer a ‘one bag buy’. Florette is meeting this demand for more variety with the addition of our Sweet Crispy flavour into our famous ‘Crispy’ family,” added John Armstrong, Marketing Director at Florette.

“The new campaign is a great way of introducing the new flavour by engaging salad lovers around a fun and clever concept. The ad shows, through Florette’s flavour innovation and ongoing quality, that we’ve got a salad that’s perfect for you, whatever your taste.”
