It’s not often we get off the fence here at Prolific North, but it has to be said that the news that Brazil Street has landed the media planning and buying brief for the makers of the world’s greatest biscuit has us wavering.
Bahlsen, the 135-year-old global confectionary giant famous for brands including PiCK UP! and the inimitable Choco Leibniz, has appointed the Manchester agency to handle media planning and buying. The campaign will initially focus on launching PiCK UP! with a campaign combining ITVX, YouTube and Social, along with an out-of-home (OOH) special build in Manchester, supported by sampling, commencing July 29, 2024.
The appointment follows a successful year for Brazil Street Ltd, during which they began representing Travel Supermarket, Solmar Villas, and Stockport Grammar School. The agency has also acquired new premises and maintained a 100% client retention record.
Holly Hall, Brazil Street’s head of strategy, said: “We’re delighted to be launching the PiCK UP! campaign and see it come to life. Its a smart, integrated campaign, underpinned by shopper data, working closely with Circana. Watch this space for 2025 too!”
Bahlsen’s UK marketing manager Michelle Green added: “Working with Brazil Street has been seamless, thought-provoking and collaborative. The team manage to combine a wealth of experience, from technical AV through to strategic planning with a very team-focussed, personal approach that is so important in any agency and client working relationship. From the brief through to planning through to execution, Brazil Street have brought their passion, critical thinking and knowledge to create our first multi-media campaign for PiCK UP! from Bahlsen”
