Manchester PR agency Bird Consultancy has moved to a new office in Ashton-under-Lyne after nearly six years at The Sharp Project in Manchester.

The firm, founded by Chris Bird in 1990, is one of Manchester’s longest-established independent communication agencies.

It began in Chapel House, Salford, before moving to New Church House on John Dalton Street in Manchester city centre, and then on to The Sharp Project in early 2014.

Executive Chairman Bird said: “This is our 30th year, and each of our offices has represented a different time for growth for both myself and the business. The move to Tameside, and alongside my team at Quest, marks the beginning of another exciting era.

“In 2011 I set out my plan to create a group it has not been easy to develop, but I am delighted that we now have the makings of an exciting local and regional media, communications and event management group.”

The agency has worked with clients including BetFred, Manchester City FC, Barry Hearn, Frank Warren, Disney, Madison square Gardens, Manchester Central Convention Complex and The University of Manchester.

The new office is in the Quest Media Network, which includes Tameside Radio, the Tameside Reporter, Oldham Reporter and Glossop Chronicle.
