Creative communications agency BIG Partnership has appointed Sarah Lawless to its board of directors.
Lawless leads the firm’s North West operations from its Manchester base and will join the current board of seven directors this month, as it continues its growth in the region.
Since joining BIG in May 2016, Lawless has helped grow the Manchester business and it has just recorded its best year to date, doubling profits and growing turnover to around £750,000.
BIG Manchester now has a staff of 12 and has just moved to larger premises in the city to accommodate future growth.
Steve McLaughlin, CEO at BIG Partnership, said: “Since joining BIG three years ago, Sarah has consistently impressed the senior management team and the decision to appoint her to the board was an easy one.
“Sarah has a proven track record of securing exciting new business opportunities and delivering outstanding results to existing clients. This has been integral to our growth here in Manchester.
“She brings a wealth of insight and expertise and at 31 injects a younger voice to the board. Her appointment will undoubtedly deliver a fresh perspective and energy that will ensure we increase our presence in the city, which is a key growth area for BIG.”
Lawless added: “I am a Mancunian born and bred so it has been fantastic to be able to grow the BIG Partnership offering here over the last three years. Now I’m excited to take the next step and join the board at such an interesting time for the agency.”
BIG Manchester works with clients including Royal Bank of Scotland, Peel Ports, Turley, GRAHAM Construction, Stewart Milne Homes and North West Cancer Research.
BIG Partnership employs more than 100 people across PR, marketing, digital, design and events with offices in Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.
