Collabco has won a contact to create Belgium’s first ever digital campus.
Students at vzw Odisee will use the Liverpool agency’s myday digital tool, which will be available in English and Flemish.
The move means that all of the university’s services will be available through one smartphone app.
“The work that Collabco is doing in the academic space has been on our radar for some time – we’d identified myday as the digital platform to bring our campuses together– and also to entice new students to the university,” explained Jan Van Calster, university college vzw Odisee.
“Being able to deploy the app in both English and Flemish is also pre-requisite of any system as we need to be able to offer that service to our students, staff and anyone joining us for research purposes – it will fast become the way we communicate with many audiences across the campuses and will deliver opportunities with pre-applicants and alumni.”
myday will help students locate timetables, find lectures and access the Virtual Learning Environment, email, social media and library services.
vzw Odisee came about through the merger between Hogeschool-Universiteit Brussel (HUB) and Katholieke Hogeschool Sint-Lieven (KAHO).
“This is a fantastic win for Collabco as we continue to build our international business and we’re are excited to be working with Odisee as it embraces myday as the foundation of its digital campus,” added Matt Dunkin, managing director, Collabco.
“Regardless of geography or language, universities and colleges are challenged to deliver the digital campus to the millennial generation on their smartphones, at the swipe of a finger – and in their chosen language. myday can do that – its incredibly quick to implement as it’s in the cloud.”
