A new BBC Three documentary is to go behind the scenes of fast-growing Salford online retailer In The Style.
Claire Sillery, the BBC’s Head of Documentary Commissioning, Content, has commissioned Optomen to make the 6×30-minute series.
The business was founded just six years ago by Adam Frisby with only £1,000 investment and no previous experience in running a business.
It has since struck successful partnerships with reality stars including Geordie Shore’s Charlotte Crosby, Made in Chelsea’s Binky Felstead, Towie’s Billy Faiers and Love Island’s Dani Dyer.
It now boasts a £40m turnover and occupies a 25,000 sq ft headquarters close to MediaCityUK.
The documentary, called Fast And Furious – Fashion’s New Frontier, will air later this year.
It promises to look at the “new world of ultra-fast fashion, where millennials are making fortunes overnight by supplying an ever-changing wardrobe to a new generation”.
