BBC Radio 5 live is adding 3 new shows to its line-up, including a new fitness and health podcast.
Fit & Fearless will be presented by 3 social media influencers and personal trainers, Tally Rye, Zanna Van Dijk and Victoria Spence, who have a big following as the #girlgains
BBC arts editor, Will Gompertz will also be fronting a new podcast, with a sideways look at the arts scene. He’ll be joined by stand-ups, artists, musicians and bloggers, all recorded in front of a live audience.
Finally, At Home With Colin Murray returns later this month, with a series of interviews recorded with athletes in their own homes. These will include Paula Radcliffe, golfer Andrew ‘Beef’ Johnson and World Champion motorcycle racer Jonathan Rae.
As previously reported, the New Year schedule changes include an extra weekly programme for Emma Barnett, whose mid-morning show has been extended to 4 days a week.
Adrian Chiles will present the mid-morning show on Fridays, as well as taking over as host of Question Time Extra.
“It’s great to start World Cup year on 5 live with some brilliant new presenters and shows. We never want to stop innovating our on air schedule, whilst at the same time continuing our big podcast success story of 2017,” said Jonathan Wall, controller BBC Radio 5 live.
The new schedule comes into action next week.
