The BBC has confirmed that Everton against Manchester City will be the first ever women’s domestic league game to be broadcast on network television.
Revealing plans for its coverage of this season’s Women’s Super League, the BBC says it will also produce Football Focus live from Goodison Park ahead of the match.
Across the season, there will be live coverage on 5 Live, the BBC Sport and app, as well as highlights on the Women’s Football Show.
The presentation team includes Gabby Logan, Alex Scott and Kelly Somers, who’ll be joined by Reshmin Chowdhury and Jeanette Kwakye.
Lead pundits on the televised fixtures will be England’s most-capped player, Fara Williams, former England and Everton goalkeeper, Rachel Brown-Finnis and former England and Arsenal defender, Alex Scott.
Commentators are led by Robyn Cowen, who’ll be alongside Vicki Sparks and Jonathan Pearce.
The BBC will be airing 22 live WSL games, as well as the Women’s FA Cup.
