BBC Comedy has appointed a new Assistant Commissioner to “champion more suppliers” and “discover new comedy voices.”
Hannah Rose will be based at MediaCityUK and work on new and existing titles.
“Hannah lives and breathes comedy, her formidable experience on the live comedy scene coupled with her impressive portfolio of work at BBC Sounds make her a highly prized addition to the team,” said Shane Allen, Director, BBC Comedy Commissioning.
She’s currently a producer and commissioning lead for comedy at BBC Sounds, developing and producing scripted and entertainment titles.
“I’m so excited to be joining the BBC Comedy team to support their portfolio of dynamic programming and plans for the BBC Comedy Association whilst shining a light on talent in the North on and off screen,” she said.
Rose will report to Shane Allen and takes up the new role on 12 April.
