The BBC’s annual live fundraising spectacular Children in Need will return to MeiaCityUK in November with its traditional blend of sketches, musical performances and special guests.
Hosted by Alex Scott, Chris Ramsey, Ade Adepitan MBE, Mel Giedroyc and Jason Manford, the show will, as always, raise money for children and young adults in the UK who need support, as well as highlighting and thanking prolific fundraisers.
The BBC has also opened up the opportunity for viewers to apply for tickets for the live filming, and dressing as a damaged teddy bear is apparently not essential.
The live broadcast takes place at Dock10’s Media City studio on Friday November 18. The broadcast begins at 7pm, and ticket holders will be admitted from 5.30pm. Tickets are available through the BBC’s usual online audience process, and will be allocated by a random lottery.
Would-be attendees can apply for a maximum of two tickets, and the broadcaster asks that applicants should be relatively local to Manchester, in keeping with its desire to cut unnecessary travel and minimise carbon emissions.
