Owen Ryan is stepping down as group content director for Bauer City 1 Network North and Scotland.
Ryan, who only took up the newly created role in January, will leave at the end of the month.
“Our focus is to build audiences across the country and create the most distinctive output that we can. Owen has made a significant contribution to our business and we wish him all the very best for the future,” said Gary Stein, group programme director, Hits Radio Network.
His decision and the Hits Radio launch on 4th June, has prompted a number of senior moves.
In the North West Chris Rick is promoted to regional content director North West to include Rock FM in addition to running Radio City, City 2 and CityTalk.
Chris Pegg’s title changes to content director Hits Radio, and is responsible for Hits Radio in Manchester, across the UK and the network output from Manchester.
In Scotland, Brian Paige is promoted to content director Scotland.
